Rainham Working Men’s Club
1920 to 1947
A meeting was arranged at Rainham School on 14th September 1920, to discuss the opening of a Club,by Mr.T Hounslow. Several men attended and Mr.W.J.Montgomery was appointed Chairman and Mr. R. Clark as Secretary and names of those present were taken who were in favour of a Club. The next business was to find a piece of ground suitable, and to report at the next meeting.
